The fictional K-pop groups from “KPop Demon Hunters”; are two of the hottest artists in the United States right now!
On the U.S. Spotify Top Songs chart dated July 3, the soundtrack of the hit animated film “KPop Demon Hunters”; swept both of the top two spots.
Saja Boys’ song “Your Idol”; jumped to No. 1, making the fictional boy band only the fourth K-pop artist ever to top the U.S. Spotify chart. To date, the only other songs by K-pop acts to reach No. 1 on the U.S. chart are BTS’s Jungkook’s “,”; BTS’s Jimin’s “Who,”; and BLACKPINK’s Rosé’s “APT.”;
The previous highest ranking by a K-pop group on the U.S. Spotify chart was No. 3, achieved by BTS’s smash hit “”; back in 2020.
Meanwhile, fictional trio HUNTR/X hit No. 2 on the same chart with their song “Golden,”; overtaking BLACKPINK to become the highest-ranking K-pop girl group in U.S. Spotify history.
Other songs from “KPop Demon Hunters”; that entered the top 10 of the U.S. Spotify chart included HUNTR/X’s “How It’s Done”; and Saja Boys’ “Soda Pop,”; which ranked No. 8 and No. 10 respectively.
